Ghanaian Artist: Kenneth Brante

Hausa Musician

$130.00

This is an original acrylic painting by Ghanaian artist Kenneth Brante. He is an Ewe born and raised in the Volta Region of Ghana. He taught himself to paint when he was 14 and continued to develop his skills through apprenticeships with various local artists. He sells his original art on the streets of Accra, Ghana. He does not paint duplicates as he believes in the purity of the first perspective.

This painting depicts a northern Hausa musician playing the traditional "tamboura". A guitar like, string instrument. You can almost hear the melodious sounds.
